Milk cream/Milk toffee

One of the most essential sweet found on a Christmas platter in Goa is the milk cream.

Made with only three ingredients which is full cream milk,powdered cashew nuts, and sugar




Ingridients:

1 litre full cream milk

400 gms sugar

100 gms cashewnuts(ground into powder)

Ghee for greasing

Gel colours for colouring the dough

Method:

👉keep all the ingredients ready to make the recipe

👉measure 100 gms cashew nuts and grind it into a powder keep aside.

👉Heat up a nonstick pan on a low to medium heat add 1 litre milk boil it till it reduces half in quantity approximately for 10 to 12 mins.

👉Now add the sugar stir it till it dissolves, now add ground cashew nuts powder and keep on stirring it till it thickens up and leaves the sides of the pan.



👉To test if the mixture is ready put little bit of the mixture in a bowl of water if it forms into a smooth ball without sticking than the mixture is done



👉Turn off the heat and remove the mixture in a plate to cool down, let it Cool down completely,Atleast for 2 hours.




👉Now grease your palm with ghee or butter and form it into a soft dough and put it in a cling film,roll it and keep for another half hour.



👉After half hour, divide the mixture into small portions to add the colours what you like for each portion, I have used gel colours, now make small balls and insert into the greased milk cream rubber moulds or any silicon mould firmly, now cover the mould with cling film just press it gently, remove the cling film and demold it and spread it on a tray lined with butter paper and the milk creams/toffee are ready.
