Beetroot Halwa

Beetroot halwa one of the most delicious desert and easiest recipe that any one could try at home. it is made of three ingredients that is grated beetroot,milk and sugar, it has a rich and creamy texture and tastes similar to carrot halwa, it tastes even more better when you add cardamon and ghee to it. Do try this beautiful colour recipe of desert.


Ingredients:

👉4 medium beetroots

👉4 tbsps sugar

👉1 1/2 cup milk

👉2 tbsp ghee

👉1/2 tsp cardamon powder

👉10 almonds(soaked for 15mns)


Method:

👉Wash,peel and grate the beetroots and keep it aside.


👉In a wide pan on a medium flame,heat up ghee as it melts add in chopped almonds fry it for 1 min.Remove it in small bowl and keep it aside.


👉In the same pan add in grated beetroot fry it on medium flame for 4mins

👉Now add in milk stir it and cook it for 5 mins, the milk will start frothing and as the beetroot soaks up all the milk add in sugar to it stir it continuously now add In the chopped almonds, last add in the cardamon powder mix it up well.As soon as you put the sugar in it ,it will start changing the colour, it will have a darker look.


👉The delicious beetroot halwa is ready to eat, I have garnished it with some roasted almonds and vark (silver leaf). you can garnish it with any dry fruit you prefer
