I can never get bored of bean based dishes.They are such a wholesome,versatile and affordable too.
Feel free to use any other bean like chickpeas, lentils, butter beans they will all work the same and try to play around with spices,like if you want less spicy omit the green chilly. do try the recipe which is simple to make with ingredients available at your home.
Ingredients:
👉1 tin black eye beans
👉1 large chopped onion
👉1 large tomato
👉2 tbsp ghee
👉6 to 7 curry leaves
👉1 tsp cumin seeds
👉2 slited green chillies
👉1 1/2 tsp coriander powder
👉1/2 tsp turmeric powder
👉1/2 tsp red chilly powder
👉1/2 tsp Garam masala
👉1/2 tsp chaat masala
👉handful fresh coriander leaves
👉To a hot pot on a medium heat add ghee,add in curry leaves and cumin seeds let their fragrance come out.
👉Now add in the chopped onions let it become translucent then add in green chillies and the tomatoes saute it for 10 seconds.
👉Now add in red chilly powder ,coriander powder,turmeric powder coriander powder and Garam masala and give it a stir.
👉Now add the tin beans,(drain the water from beans) and add it to the paste,add salt to taste, add a 1 cup of water stir it well and let it simmer for 8 to 10 mins.
👉Last add the chat masala and finish it off with freshly chopped coriander leaves and the curry is ready to serve.
👉Have it with rice or chapatis ,it tastes very delicious. Do give it try.
