Chicken masala

Every home has their own way of making chicken masala here is my own version straight from my kitchen to yours.

do try this tasty chicken masala and tell me how it goes.

Chicken masala


👉1/2 kg boneless chicken

👉3 medium finely chopped onions

👉2 medium finely chopped tomatoes

👉1 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste

👉2tbsp yogurt

👉1/2 turmeric powder

👉4tbsp oil

👉fresh coriander leaves

👉1/4 tsp kasuri methi

👉salt to taste

Dry roast the below ingredients

👉2 tbsp coriander seeds

👉1/2 tsp cumin seeds

👉1 tsp fennel seeds

👉10 Peppercorns

👉2 to 3 dry Kashmiri chillies

👉4 green Cardamon

👉5 Cloves

Dry roast on slow fire for 3mins...let the mixture cool down than grind it to powder and keep it aside.


👉Marinate the chicken with Salt,turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste for 1/2 hour.

👉Heat up a pot add in 2tbsp of oil when the oil is hot add in the seasoned chicken

👉Fry it on high heat for 4mins.turning both the sides.

👉Cook it half done without adding any water.remove it and keep it aside.

👉In the same pot add in chopped onions ,add in oil if required(I have added more 2tbsp)sauté until golden brown,Then add in tomatoes sauté for 3 to 4 mins until mushy.

👉Now add the half done boneless chicken,Coat it nicely with the onions and tomatoes paste

👉Take a small bowl add the ground powder to it add some water,let it form like a paste.

👉Now add the ground paste  to the pot.Combine nicely...sauté for 3 mins on a medium heat.

👉whisk 2 tbsp of yogurt and add it to the mixture, add some salt to taste, give it nice stir, now add the chopped fresh coriander leaves and kasuri methi.

👉Have it with chapati,paratha,naan or whatever you prefer
