Chicken Pulao with peas and potatoes

A very tasty full of aroma and flavour "The chicken pulao with peas and potatoes". It is a one pot recipe which is done quick in the pressure cooker which is extremely delicious do try this recipe and enjoy the wholesome meal with your loved ones.


Ingredients:

🌸300g Chicken

🌸1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

🌸1 large chopped onion

🌸1 medium tomato

🌸1 tsp garam masala

🌸1 tsp Red chilli powder

🌸1/2 tsp turmeric powder

🌸1 cup peas

🌸2 1/2 cups basmati Rice

🌸5 to 6 Red potatoes cut into halves

🌸salt to taste

🌸3 tbsp oil


Whole spices:

🌸3 bay leaves

🌸15 Blackpepper corns

🌸6 cloves

🌸4 green cardamons

🌸1 tsp cumin seeds



Method:

🌸Soak the basmati rice for half hour.

🌸Wash and marinate the chicken with salt and ginger garlic paste.

🌸In a pressure cooker add in oil on a medium heat add in the whole spices let it splatter and leave its aroma.Add in the chopped onions let it turn translucent now add in the chopped tomatoes let it turn mushy.


🌸Now add in the seasoned chicken give it a good stir on a high flame fry the chicken for 3mins.Now lower the flame and add in the garam masala, turmeric powder and red chilli powder give it a good stir. now add in the potatoes which is made into halves then add in the green peas give it a stir.


🌸Now drain the water from the rice and add the rice to the to the pressure cooker and add in double quantity of water that is for 21/2 cups of rice add 5 cups of water ,add some salt according to the taste and give it a good stir.

🌸Now close the lid of the pressure cooker and let the rice and chicken cook together in its flavour, let it cook for one whistle then turn off the heat and leave it to cool (do not open cooker immediately let it cool down for 10mins)

So your pressure cooked chicken pulao with peas and potatoes is ready to serve.
