Chicken potato chops

A kids friendly recipe The chicken potato chops which best relished as a starter.This recipe is very mild in flavour with minimal spices.I have added cheese to the filling for a cheesy flavour, it is a hearty appetizer which goes well with a sweet and tangy ketcup, it can also be had as a side dish on any meal.They are favourite among children. Do try the recipe I am sure kids and adults too will love it.


Ingredients

👉1cup chicken slices boiled and diced

👉4 big potatoes (boiled, peeled and mashed)

👉1 large onion finely chopped

👉1 tsp black pepper powder

👉1 tsp ginger garlic paste

👉1 tbsp soya sauce

👉1tsp cumin powder

👉1 cup milk

👉1 egg

👉1/2 tsp salt

👉1 tbsp cornflour

👉1 cup semolina

👉1/2 cup shredded cheese

👉1 tbsp finely chopped parsley

👉2 tbsp oil


Method

👉Take a pressure cooker and place the potatoes in the cooker add in enough water to cover the potatoes and cook it under 4 whistles or for 10 mins.when the potatoes are cool enough peel the potatoes and mash it, add in 1/2 tsp salt and mix up the mashed potatoes well. keep it aside.


👉In a shallow frying pan on a medium heat add 1tbsp oil when pan is hot ,add the finely chopped onions saute for 20seconds not too much, let it remain pink. At this stage add in ginger garlic paste and salt to taste, fry it till the smell of ginger garlic goes away.Now add black pepper powder, stir it altogether on a low heat.


👉Take a small bowl add 1 cup of milk to that add 1tbsp cornflour stir it well see that no lumps are formed ,add this mixture to the hot frying pan and stir it for a while,to that add the soya sauce and the cumin powder, mix it up altogether.

👉Last add the boiled and diced chicken slices stir and combine everything, add in chopped parsley ,let it dry up and form a thick paste.turn off the flame ,remove the mixture and place it in a bowl.


👉Scoop up some mashed potato a small tennis ball size, place it on the palm of your hand, flatten it round and place it on plate or sheet to that add in some shredded cheese then add a tbsp of the chicken mixture place it again on your hand and close it in a ball shape.

👉In a small bowl whisk 1 egg add in a pinch of salt keep aside, In a plate pour semolina now deep completely the potato chop in the whisked egg then roll it in the semolina coat completely on both the sides.Repeat the process for the others.


👉Heat up a frying pan on a high heat add in 2 tbsp of oil fry the potato chops flipping both the sides. don't fry it for too long we just need a brown coating on both the sides, as the meat and potato is cooked.your delicious chicken potato chops are ready to eat.Enjoy
