Clams Cutlets/Clams Fritters/Tisryache Dangar

A famous coastal area dish which is relished by us Goans and is super easy to prepare and is specially served with fish curry rice,clams cutlets which are made with clam meat, few spices, shredded coconut and to bind it ,the gram flour. It can be served as an evening snack or an appetiser for parties. Do try making this recipe I am sure you will love it.


Ingredients: 👉1 cup clams( washed, flesh removed)

👉1 medium finely chopped onion

👉1 medium finely chopped tomato

👉2 tbsp gramflour

👉1 cup coconut( shredded/desicate)

👉1 tsp red chilly powder

👉1 tsp turmeric powder

👉1/2 tsp Garam masala

👉1/2 tsp cumin powder

👉1/2 “ Ginger finely chopped

👉4 cloves of garlic finely chopped

👉1 tsp lime juice

👉Handful of chopped coriander leaves

👉Salt to taste


Method:

👉Wash the clams under the running water in the strainer,strain it, add salt to it keep it aside.


👉Take a bowl pour in the washed clams add in chopped onions, chopped tomatoes,gramflour,shredded coconut and all the above ingredients together so that the mixture comes together to roll it into balls.


👉Make sufficient balls and shape it into cutlets,Roll it in breadcrumbs or semolina and keep it aside.

👉Heat up a frying pan on medium heat pour in 2 tbsp oil shallow fry the cutlets till they are nice and light brown.Serve hot as an appetiser or snack or as a side dish
