shepuche poye or healthy pancakes of dill leaves which is colourful and delicious made with brown rice soaked overnight and ground the next day with dill leaves and jaggery
usually we goans add coconut milk or juice to it but I have omitted the coconut juice and added green chilly instead to give it a sweet and savoury taste.
Ingredients:
👉1 cup brown rice
👉1 cup dill leaves
👉2 green chillies
👉1 tbsp jaggery
👉ghee to drizzle
👉salt to taste
Method:
👉In a bowl soak the brown rice with water above the rice, soak it overnight or for 8hrs.
👉Next day morning throw away the water of the soaked rice wash it well and than grind the rice with water, dill leaves, green chillies, jaggery,make it to a fine paste.
👉Remove it from the blender and keep it aside.if the batter is thick add a little more water
👉Make the paste in a pourable consistency.
👉Heat up a frying pan on a medium heat drizzle a little ghee.
👉Take a ladleful of the batter and spread it on the pan let it cook on a medium heat till it is lightly brown.flip it and cook it on the other side.
👉Remove it in a plate and repeat the same process with the other batter.
👉The delicious shepuche poye is ready to eat,The aroma of the dill leaves is wonderful💕
