A popular street food which is found at the local ghados(stalls)in goa and is called as cutlet pao and is enjoyed by most of the goans,Here the beef is thinly sliced and tenderise using a mallet,marinated with the spices then dipped in whisked egg,coated with semolina,shallow fried and served with pao and salad.

๐1/2 kg beef meat (undercut)/steak cut meat cut into thin slices
๐2 tbsp vinegar
๐salt to taste
๐1 cup semolina
๐2 whisked eggs
For the masala
๐3 green chillies
๐1 cup of fresh coriander leaves
๐1 small ball of tamrind( lime size)
๐1 tsp cumin seeds
๐1โcinnamon
๐1/2 tsp turmeric powder
๐7 to 8 cloves
๐2 cardamom
๐1 tsp poppy seeds
๐1 tsp black peppercorns
๐1โ(inch)ginger
๐ 1 small pod of garlic
๐Grind the above masala to a fine paste adding little water.remove it from the blender and keep it aside.
๐Wash the meat and tenderize it by using meat mallet, apply salt,2 tbsp vinegar,3 tbsp of the above ground masala,coat it well to the meat..Marinate it for 2 hours. You can store the rest masala for later use or use it for any fish/meat to fry.
๐After the marination dip each slice of meat into a whisked egg and then coat it into semolina or breadcrumbs.
๐Heat up a frying pan on medium flame add in 3 tbsp oil shallow fry each slice for 5 mins turning both the sides.turn off the heat and let it rest for 5 mins.
๐Serve hot with bread and salad or as a side dish or a starter...
