1 tsp vinegar or lime juice
1–2 green chilies (optional, finely chopped)
Salt to taste
1 egg (for binding + coating)
Semolina (for coating)
Oil for shallow frying
👩🍳 Method:
Marinate:
Mix the beef mince with spice mix paste, onions, ginger-garlic paste, vinegar, and salt. Let it marinate for 30 minutes.
Cook the mince:
Heat a little oil in a pan. Cook the marinated mince until dry and aromatic.
While cooking, add the mashed potato and mix well so it blends evenly with the meat.
Cool & Shape:
Let the mixture cool, then mix in a little beaten egg (just to bind). Shape into small flat cutlets.
Coat:
Dip each cutlet in beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs or semolina.
Fry:
Shallow-fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp on both sides.
Serve:
Serve hot with lime wedges, sliced onions, and a dash of Goan chilli 🌶️ sauce or ketchup.
