The fenugreek leaves from my little garden
Methi(fenugreek leaves) tepla
(Soft Indian Flat bread very popular among the Jains)
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup wheat flour
2 tbsp of gramflour
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp carom seeds
1 tsp Garam masala
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 cups of finely chopped fenugreek(methi)leaves
1 tbsp of yogurt
1/2 tsp salt
Method
*Wash and cut the methi leaves fine, remove it in a bowl keep aside
*In a large bowl add wheat flour, gram flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, ginger garlic paste, yogurt, garam masala mix this altogether
*Add chopped methi leaves and salt to the mixture
*Add 1/2 cup of water or some more to form into a dough
* Let the dough set for 15 mins
*Take some portion from the dough to make small lemon size balls roll it out on the rolling board into a round shape...
*Heat up a tava /frying pan on a medium flame fry the rolled up tepla..
*Brush some oil..flip up on both the sides
*Serve with pickle or yogurt
