We have this dish for most of our occasions mainly for weddings and it prepared in goa’s popular masala “The Recheado “
Ingredients:
300 gms mussels in shells(washed,peeled,shells retained for presentation and mussels seasoned with salt)
1 tbsp oil
1 medium finely chopped oinion
2 tbsp Recheado masala
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp butter
Crushed blackpeppercorns
Salt to taste
Method
*Heat up a pan on a medium flame add in oil add in onions...fry for 10 seconds keep it crunchy
*Add in the Recheado masala fry it for 20 seconds add in mussels cover it and cook it for 5 mins
*Open the lid and Add in crushed pepper on a high flame add in tomato ketchup add in butter...let it dry a bit...put the flame off
*Take a tray place half shell of the mussels(washed and dried)on the tray....put in the shell the cooked mussels...serve and enjoy...
