Paneer parathas

Paneer parathas are delicious north Indian flat breads stuffed with cottage cheese,herbs and spices. Serve them with coriander chutney,mint chutney or pickle.Very cheesy from inside which takes you to food heaven. Do try this recipe.


Ingredients for filling the parathas:

๐Ÿ‘‰1/2 cup grated paneer/cottage cheese

๐Ÿ‘‰1/2 tsp cumin powder

๐Ÿ‘‰1/2 tsp coriander powder

๐Ÿ‘‰1/2 tsp Garam masala

๐Ÿ‘‰1/4 tsp chaat masala

๐Ÿ‘‰1 medium onion finely chopped

๐Ÿ‘‰handful of coriander leaves ground with 2 cloves of garlic and 1 green chilly

๐Ÿ‘‰1/2 tsp salt

๐Ÿ‘‰ 1 tsp ghee


๐Ÿ‘‰Combine all the above ingredients which says filling altogether and make small balls of it and keep it aside.


For the dough

๐Ÿ‘‰1 cup whole wheat flour

๐Ÿ‘‰1/4 tsp salt

๐Ÿ‘‰1 tbsp yoghurt

๐Ÿ‘‰Warm water to knead


METHOD:

๐Ÿ‘‰Take a bowl add in wheat flour,salt,yogurt and warm water, little by little,knead the flour to form a soft dough let it rest for 15 min after that divide the dough into equal parts.


๐Ÿ‘‰Roll one of the dough ball using rolling pin,take the combined filling ball and place it in the centre and bring all edges together and pinch to seal the edges.


๐Ÿ‘‰Now flatten the dough ball by using your hands and roll it by using rolling pin.


๐Ÿ‘‰Apply equal pressure on all the sides,roll it in a round shape.apply flour if necessary or if paratha sticks to the rolling board.


๐Ÿ‘‰Heat up a tava/pan and transfer the Paratha to the hot pan and let it cook on both the sides on medium heat for 2 mins.


๐Ÿ‘‰Apply butter or ghee as required on both the sides and the hot paneeer parathas is ready to serve.

๐Ÿ‘‰paneer parathas can be eaten just like that or with yogurt or pickle..
