Fish Caldine

Fish caldine is deliciously creamy and aromatic curry,It is a mildly spiced preparation,made with few spices and freshly extracted coconut milk.

I mostly like it with steamed rice. Do give it a try to this creamy fish curry recipe.

Ingredients:

๐Ÿ‘‰2 golden pomfrets(washed,cut into pieces)

๐Ÿ‘‰8 medium prawns(washed,cleaned,seasoned with salt)

๐Ÿ‘‰1 medium onion chopped fine

๐Ÿ‘‰1 medium tomato chopped fine

๐Ÿ‘‰2 green chillies slited

๐Ÿ‘‰1 coconut(ground and than strained the milk) thick milk and thin milk(grind after straining the thick milk)

๐Ÿ‘‰1 tbsp oil

๐Ÿ‘‰salt to taste


Grind to paste:

๐Ÿ‘‰2 tbsp coriander seeds

๐Ÿ‘‰1 tsp rice

๐Ÿ‘‰1 cup fresh coriander leaves

๐Ÿ‘‰1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

๐Ÿ‘‰1 tsp poppy seeds

๐Ÿ‘‰10 cloves

๐Ÿ‘‰1/2 tsp pepper corns

๐Ÿ‘‰1 tbsp garlic

๐Ÿ‘‰1 โ€œ Ginger

๐Ÿ‘‰1 lime size Tamrind ball

๐Ÿ‘‰4 green chillies

๐Ÿ‘‰1 tsp turmeric


Method:

๐Ÿ‘‰Grind the above ingredients with little water to a paste.keep it aside.

๐Ÿ‘‰Wash ,clean and cut the pomfrets apply salt and little turmeric for the the fish and prawns and it keep aside.


๐Ÿ‘‰Heat up a pot add oil when hot add in chopped onions sautรฉ add in chopped tomatoes sautรฉ for a while.


๐Ÿ‘‰Now add in the ground masala from the blender to the pot and Sautรฉ for 2mins.


๐Ÿ‘‰Now add prawns and gently stir fry


๐Ÿ‘‰Now add the thin extracted coconut milk.


๐Ÿ‘‰Give it a boil add salt to taste cover it and let it simmer for 5 mins now add in the fish.


๐Ÿ‘‰After adding fish cover the pot with the lid and Simmer it for 5 to 7 mins let the mixture combine in the flavours of the aromatic curry.


๐Ÿ‘‰last add the thick coconut milk,keep stirring gently,keep the flame on simmer.

๐Ÿ‘‰Add the slited green chillies before putting of the gas.

๐Ÿ‘‰Do not Cook the fish for a longer time as it will break apart.

๐Ÿ‘‰Try this delicious recipe and enjoy it with steamed rice.
