Ivy gourd/tendli bhaji with potatoes

Ivy gourd is very good to improve metabolism, heart and nervous system.This recipe is amazingly delicious,I have added potatoes to the tendli as I feel potatoes pairs well with tendli and adding peanuts gives it a crunch and makes it more flavourful so do try this homely sabzi.


Ingredients:

300 gms Ivy gourd

150 gms Potatoes

1 medium onion

A pinch Asafoetida

1/4 tsp Mustard seeds

1/2 tsp Cumin seeds

1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

1/2 tsp Chilli flakes

1 tsp Coriander powder

1/2 tsp Garam masala

1 tsp Ginger garlic paste

1/4 tsp Red chilli powder

1/4 Chaat masala

1 tbsp Roasted crushed peanuts

2 tbsp Oil


Method:

👉Wash and cut the tendli at both the bottoms and then cut it length wise same way peel wash and cut the potatoes length wise.


👉Heat up a pot add in oil add in asafoetida mustard seeds and cumin seeds let it splatter.



👉Now add in chopped onion let it become translucent then add in ginger garlic paste sauté it for a while.


👉Now add in turmeric,chilli powder and chilli flakes now add in potatoes,add some salt, mix it up well and keep the flame on low and cover it let it cook for 5mins.



👉Now add the tendli and stir it well now add in coriander powder,Garam masala cover it and let it cook for 5mins.

👉Last add the chaat masala stir it well and then add the peanuts mix it well put off the flame and your delicious tendli bhaji is ready to serve
