A very easy without much effort is this delicious and nutritious sprouts pulao
Ingredients:
👉2 cups basmati rice
👉4 cups hot water
👉1 cup sprouts
👉2 green chilli
👉whole spices
*1/4 tsp cumin seeds
*1/2 tsp Shahi jeera
*3 Green Cardamoms
*1 “ cinnamon stick
*4 cloves
*5 to 6 black pepper corns
👉1 big chopped onion 🧅
👉salt to taste
👉1/2 tsp Garam masala
👉few chopped fresh coriander leaves
👉1 tbsp oil
Method:
👉Take a bowl and soak the basmati rice with some water for 1/2 hour.
👉In a pot on a medium flame add in oil when hot add the whole spices mention above,let it splatter.
👉Add in chopped onions let it turn translucent then add in sprouts,add in the slited green chillies,and stir for sometime keeping the flame high.
👉Now add in 4 cups of boiled water and some salt give it a stir and cover the pot and let it simmer.
👉Now add in the soaked rice to the pot (wash and strain the water)then add in the chopped cilantro/ coriander leaves and last add the Garam masala,give it a stir and cover the pot with the lid and let it cook on medium flame for 7 to 8 mins or until the rice absorbs all the water and cooks well.
And your pulao is ready to serve. You can use different type of sprouts or mixed sprouts.
I have use here moth beans and sprouted them at home.
To sprout the beans:
👉In order to sprout the moth beans, first it has to be sorted to remove stones, washed,and then soaked in water for 6-8 hours or overnight.Wash the beans again and drain the Water.
Than hang the soaked beans in a moist cloth for a day or 10 to 12 hours or till you see the sprouts coming out, when they develop short shoots they are done.
